a. Demand Letter (01/02/2020) To establish the debt, HUD will send a Demand Letter to the Mortgagee. Within 30 Days of the date of the Demand Letter, the Mortgagee must: • remit overpaid amounts; or • take other such action, including submitting a rebuttal, as provided in the Demand Letter.
